Titleist Dt SoLo golf balls- 1 dozen. (Titleist Pro V 1 Golf Ball)
The Titleist DT SoLo features a soft compression, high velocity core and a soft Surlyn blend cover. This combination provides lower driver spin for long distance off the tee. The very low spin also helps golfers to minimize unintentional hook and slice sidespin for straighter distance. Unlike many other low spin distance golf balls, the DT SoLo still provides soft feel on all shots tee-to-green.
Customer Review: This is an overpriced TopFlite XL 2000, read more to find out why.
This is an overpriced TopFlite XL 2000, read more to find out why.
When I’ve played a round with DT Solo and XL 2000’s, sometimes you forget which ball you tee up with when you’re just carrying them in your pocket and they both drive and hit the same from the fairway.
Something we like to do, we cut golf balls in half using a hack saw, we like to see how things work.
They both look alike inside, a solid rubber core with flecks of different color particle almost seem like contaminants. The surlyn cover is identical fitness on both.
The DT Solo just costs 2-3 times more than the TopFlite.
Save your money, either upgrade to a better Titlelist or save the dough and buy some XL 2000’s.
Customer Review: A pretty good ball, but I prefer Titleist’s other balls
The Titleist DT Solo ball is supposed to be a low spinning ball that helps with a hook or a slice. The idea, as I understand it, is that the Solo offers decent distance off the tee while at the same time being somewhat forgiving to those who can’t hit the ball straight. I like these balls–and play them when I find them–but I’d much, much rather play one of Titleists other balls, like the NXT or the Pro V1. To be completely honest I don’t see the slice correction, and these balls don’t feel quite as good off the tee as the other Titleist balls I mentioned.
I give this ball a halfhearted recommendation. If you can’t find the NXT and don’t want to spend the money for the Pro V1 you can do an awful lot worse than the DT Solo. Just be sure you don’t overpay–25 bucks or so is a decent price for a dozen of these. Buy Now
